To accompany the typographic panels, a single colour screen printed poster was made using the same quote. “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see” by Henry David Thoreau.
The type is arranged in a rectangle and when viewing face on the words would surround the viewer, who will be seeing themselves as if looking in a mirror. It encourages the viewer to look deeper within themselves to see what is truly beneath any facade they may put on, which is further reinforced by the distorted view the gold card gives. The cut outs of some letters also force the viewer to look more closely in order to figure out what it says, and why they have been arranged in a certain way.
