TOO LONG IN THIS CONDITION
Created as part of a live brief for the musician Alasdair Roberts. I was inspired by Paula Scher’s album covers which incorporate photography and type. The cover was inspired by the word ‘condition’. I created a Celtic knot sculpture out of paper to represent the repeating nature of conditional statements.
Screen printed typographic poster. The layout of the type used to emphasise the quote.
I also created a series of typographic panels created using hand generated techniques. These panels went on to inspire the type layout of my typographic poster.
As part of this project I also created a short film documenting the process of designing and screen printing my final poster.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS
IASG MUSEUM OF FISHING
Branding for a Scottish Fishing museum. The concept was based on movement at sea. The logo is based on a buoy which is an important navigational tool. The logo acts as a way marker for the visitors to the museum. Guiding them through the experience.
The visual brand was inspired by images of water and topographical maps of the ocean floor.
THE VALUE OF CREATIVITY
Final mock-up of a program for an event being held within City of Glasgow College. Done as part of a live competition. It includes hand made elements like the cover so the owner would perceive it has having value due to it being the only one of its kind in existence.
I am new design graduate looking for entry level work in order to further the skills I learned during education. I am a highly detail oriented person and enjoy focusing on small elements in order to create a quality product. I have experience working as an individual and as part of a large team.
As an Computing graduate I have experience with coding the back end of websites as well as designing the front end. As an online content creator I am used to short deadlines and have worked with well known brands, creating social media campaigns in order to sell their products.
